Oatmeal Cranberry Vanilla Cookies

2 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup of butter, margarine or shortening
1/2 cup of milk
2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
4 cups of quick-cooking oats
1 3/4 cups of all purpose or whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup of cranberries
Directions
- Heat oven to 375
- Mix the brown sugar, butter (you can substitute for either margarine or shortening), milk and vanilla extract
- Stir in remaining ingredients
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls and on a ungreased cookie sheet place the dough balls about 3-inches apart. Then, flatten the dough balls with a fork.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown
- Remove from cookie sheet and let it cool
- Serve and Enjoy!
