Ingredients

  • 1/2 of a cabbage

  • Bacon – to taste

  • 1 medium size onion

  • 1 green pepper

  • 2 cups of Vegetable Broth

  • 1 cup of Jasmine Rice

  • Vegetable Oil

  • A touch of salt

Directions

  • We’ll start with the bacon! Toast the bacon until it’s crisp. Do not let the bacon burn. Once you get the desire crispiness, set aside.
  • Cut the onion, pepper and the cabbage. First, add the onion to the pot and let it caramelize. Second, once the onion is caramelized add the pepper. Lastly, add the cabbage to the mix and let it cook for a couple of minutes.
  • Add the 2 cups of vegetable broth and bring it to a boil.
  • Once boiling add the rice and the bacon. Cook for 20/25 minutes until liquid is absorbed and the rice is cooked.
  • Serve and enjoy!
