Ingredients

  • 2 cans of Goya Red Kidney Beans

  • Sofrito (cooking base) *You can make your own or get it pre-made from the store

  • 2 cans of Goya Tomato Sauce

  • 1 packet of sazon

  • 1 medium-size potato (cubed)

  • 1 carrot (optional)

  • Water (cover the beans)

  • 1/2 a teaspoon of Cooking Oil

Directions

  • In a medium size pot set to Medium/High heat include: the sofrito, oil, tomato sauce, sazon packet and cook for at least 3 minutes. Stir constantly, don’t let it burn.
  • Add the Kidney Red Beans, potato, carrot, and cover with water. Bring to a boil and then lower the heat between medium/high heat.
  • Cook for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally until sauce consistency is no longer liquid like.
  • Serve and enjoy!
